白獅子と東の桜 — SJ60を祝して詠む短歌

シンガポールと日本は、来年で外交関係樹立60周年（SJ60）を迎えます。
この節目にあたり、両国の友情と文化の絆を込めて短歌を詠みました。

【短歌】

六十の
年を迎えて
白獅子（しろじし）は
眺めれば笑む
東の桜

(English Translation)
Sixty years on,
the white lion gazes —
and smiles,
watching the blossoms
that bloom in the East.

※解説（日本語）: 「白獅子」はシンガポールの象徴であるマーライオンを、「東の桜」は日本を表しています。短歌を通して両国の友好と文化の結びつきを表現しています。

Explanation (English): The “white lion” represents Singapore’s Merlion, and the “blossoms in the East” symbolize Japan. The tanka celebrates the friendship and cultural connection between the two countries.
